I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH ELAINE FOR 12 YEARS. SHE WAS A KIND PERSON. SHE TAUGHT OUR CHILDREN AT ST. CHRISTINE. SHE SPARKED AN INTEREST IN HISTORY FOR TWO OF OUR SONS ESPECIALLY. THEY ALWAYS SAID THAT SHE MADE IT INTERESTING. TIM STUDIED HISTORY AND GOVERNMENT AT GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY AND TONY HAD A DOUBLE MAJOR AT TULANE, HISTORY AND FINANCE. ELAINE'S STUDENTS LOVED HER.

I really go to know Elaine after H.S. and college when we both landed a job at Saint Christine School along with Mary Jo Orlando. What we all found out was that we were all born the same week and in the same hospital but I was the baby of the group! Elaine was at Saint Christine until she decided to become a principal at Saint Brendan. While she was at Saint Christine she was diagnosed with cancer in May 1980. I was at the time pregnant with my first and was very upset that Elaine was given such terrible news. There must have been an angel there because within a few days the news wasn't so horrible . They couldn't find the cancer. We believe it was a miracle. A few months later she held my newborn daughter and was so pleased that my little Mary Bridget looked up at her and smiled. Their was always a special bond between the two. Elaine taught 2 of my 3 daughters and treated them and all her other students like they were her own. Every child she taught she touched. They all loved her! She was taken too soon I think at 48yrs. She had so much to offer and so much love to give.

Elaine, we talk and think of you often. We truly miss you!
