Joe was what we may have called an intellectual "geek" but if you ever took the time to know him Joe was an awesome man. Joe was a man of compassion who even allowed me to beat him at a game of chess. I believe there were too many Joe Huber's in our class who were there but not seen. God bless you Joe Huber!!

Joe was a pretty good friend...he had a big heart. Joe was involved with an organization and asked me to help him on a few Sunday mornings to pass out Catholic Exponents to the some of the patients. This was typical of Joe.

Joe also asked me to be on his intramural basketball team. We had a good time, but we were horrible. We lost one game by like 73-8 and another by like 65-15. How we ended up 3-3 is a mystery. Oh, wait, I think two of the victories were forfeits. That would explain it.

God bless you, Joe.

Joe was a friend I lost touch with and searched for and wondered what happened to. I never came back to Youngstown after college. Joe overcame such adversity. I know what he went through during high school. I am glad to know he had close friends and am saddened that he is gone.

I remained friends with Joe, each of us calling each other on our birthdays, and usually a couple other times during the year to catch up. He was a Nurse in Calif, but had to retire from that early due to health problems. I managed to get out to Calif to visit him, and then he passed about 6 weeks later. He was always a good friend and had a unique sense of humor.  He is missed.

I was so sorry to see that Joe  had passed away. Through out our four years at Ursuline I had several classes with Joe. He had an old soul and an exceptional heart that most of us did not possess at that age.
