Louis DePaul

 

Louis Arthur DePaul, 59, of Cross Creek Drive, died at 7:45 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 at Columbus Regional Hospital.

He was born in Youngstown, Ohio, April 25, 1952, the son of Phillip Arthur and Anna Joyce Barrett DePaul.

He married Carolynn Prosser November 28, 1975, and she survives.

Louis was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. He graduated from Youngstown University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration; he then graduated from Indiana University South Bend with a master’s degree in business administration. Louis was currently employed at Ivy Tech Community College Franklin Campus, teaching accounting and business, as well as working on promoting growth at the Franklin and Elkhart campuses. He volunteered in Seymour with VITA through the United Way helping people with their taxes. He was a loving husband and father.

Louis is survived by daughters, Kristen (Matthew) Jung of Tipton, Ind., Heather DePaul of Columbus, and Theresa (Joseph) Bruno of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jacob DePaul, Rocco Louis, Sarah Jung, Elizabeth Jung, Alexander DePaul, Luke Bruno, Lillian Jung and Vincent Bruno; brothers, Donald DePaul of Columbus, Ohio, and Phillip (Jacquelyn) DePaul of San Jose, California; sisters, Alice (Jeff) Smith of Broadview Heights, Ohio, and Mary Jo Dolson of Berea, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandchild, Mary Joyce Jung.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Arturo Ocampo officiating.

Inurnment will be at Garland Brook Cemetery Mausoleum.

Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children or the donor’s choice of charities.
